I recently upgraded to Win 8 Pro from Win 7 and in the midst of the upgrade, there was a message saying that my network drivers were incompatible with Win 8. I was anxious to get the upgrade done before sleep, so I just thought "yeah, yeah" and clicked ok thinking I'd just deal with it later. Now my network internet access is noticeably slower and after some short internet searches with no useful info, thought I'd post to the brain trust here to get the real scoop. Could someone point me to the thread that has probably already been posted on this subject, tell me what I need, or direct me to some useful info on Win 8 drivers or applications to remedy this problem? This is a satellite computer, not the main one. Thanks guys/gals. Bill

P.S. Is it possible to make my R1 an R2?

    • YYFHR I/O Daughter Board

What WiFi card are you using? I got the same error message once from Win8, but my Ultimate-N 6300 works perfectly with the Win7 drivers it did not like... no slowdowns or other issues.

You can try restoring it or going back manually to the previous drivers.
