Currently running one GTX 980m in windows 7 with A11 Unlocked Bios but I think I am having an issue with the temps.
I am currently using GPU temp to monitor my 980M and upon boot the temp is lower than 40c while idle. But if left alone for 5-10 minuets the temps will slowly climb up to and over 50c currently 56c at time of writing.
The fans don't seam to want to kick in, even while playing a game I noticed temps over 70c and still no fans.
My only option is using HWiNFO64 to force the fans on at 2500.rpm which keeps my 980m bellow 40c then over 3000.rpm while gaming.
Is this normal or do I need to replace the thermal pads and paste again![]()

So if not satified you can try:
1-reflash vbios
2-DDU and reinstall GPU driver
3-check from HWiNFO if EC sensor is fully disabled (from initial settings screen) and then save.
4- if all above are not working Change driver version or modify one in the right way.
Cheers,

Although I just noticed as the temps were about to reach 60c they just dropped back down to the 40's, if a fan is spinning I can't hear it but the temp is climbing again.
1-Vbios has never been flashed, my 980m is a G-sync version and had no luck getting anyone to help with a Vbios :S
2- already DDU, driver I got from Eurocom archive ^^
3- EC sensor was fully disabled by default but checked to be sure and it is disabled.
4- No idea how to modify drivers, not an area I have every looked into.
I will install Crysis 3 and see how the system reacts with temp vs fans.Attached Files:
