I have Soundblaster Recon3DI. The sound rattles like crazy, from the day one.

I basically tried everything that I found. Uninstall Soundblaster, updated driver, install Dell updated driver, Dell IDT setting (which I don't have), so I put everything back.

This is how I solved it. I went into the Soundblaster setting and enabled equalizer to figure out what was causing this.

It's "125" and "250" on the equalizer setting that's causing it. Also, "1k" and "2k" has to be above "125" and "250".

I have very loud sound now on 100% volume with absolutely no rattle, whatsoever. You do lose base, but I rather not have rattle.

Hope this helps. I know it's not a full solution, but it works for me.

I have other settings THX pro, Bass, and Crystal Voice and all other options turned on. Still no rattle.

I'm sure you can tweak it more to your like.
