    Hello fellow Alienware owners,

I have recently recieved my Alienware m18x after having owned multiple m17x.

I am now in the process of trying to create the best m18x I can.

My other computers have 4GB of RAM each and one of them has a hybrid HDD/msata (60gb of msata and 1tb of HDD), the other has a normal 500gb HDD.

These are the only things I can add to my current m18x, obviously the CPU and GPU would be a clear downgrade.

My current setup has 8GB of RAM and the same hybrid only this time 80GB msata and 1tb HDD.

What I was thinking was to add my other hybrid drive to my current m18x to have more space and 2 msatas for the extra speed, maybe RAID them? Or any other suggestions?

Also, maybe adding 2GB of RAM, although I'm not sure how much that would change.

Any upgrades using things that I have on my other PCs are welcome and I'm open to suggestions or even if this whole project is worth it.

    Thank you!

Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately, you're not going to get any advice since you didn't include the specs of any of your computers.

Good information. Probably wasn't necessary to tell a brand new forum member that you 'couldn't care less what they think' though.
