    New M18 OS Issue

    Hey guys just got my new 18 today it came with the 512GB mSATA SSD and the 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s
    so they installed the OS on the 1TB and made the 512 mSATA a DATA (D) when i look at them in disk management disk 0 thats the 1TB OS (C) and a 750mb recovery and a 40mb oem and a 500mb EFI partition then theres disk 1 the 521mSATA thats got data (D) 440gb ntfs and a 32.81gb OEM partition how and should i restore the pc to the 521mSATA and can i wipe the 1tb to use as storage if anyone no's why they did it like id love to no any help would be appreciated

    Launch ALienspawn and make a USB drive with the O/S on it. Go into the bios and see if Raid is selected. If it is you need to Ctl-I on a reboot and delete the Raid. You will loose all data on drive. Reset the Bios to ACHI instead of Rain and reboot tapping F8 and boot from the thumb drive. Reinstall the OS and it will automatically reset the restore partition for you. Once in Windows just format the D drive.

    it came with windows 8.1 so i don't have the respawn just the windows disk i removed the 1TB and tryed to get to the recovery on the 512mSATA but cant get it to see the image theres a 32gig oem partition on it how can i boot it

    I had to go into the Ctl+I to delete the raid before Widows could see the drives. Personally I have not instal onto an Msata but dont see why it would be different.
