Only saved the screen dumps at that size. Meh. I'm out. Will benchmark again another time. What can't you read? Surely you can see the details on the wPrime dump at least. I did all the tests one after the other, so the details are identical for CPU-Z on all of my screen dumps.

Cool. Yeah I followed page 1 as closely as I could but then had to resize to be able to upload.. Don't have anywhere to host the images so I cant use the spoiler command. I'll have to set up my FTP on the new machine so I can put them up on my webserver and link from there in future.

John you mentioned on Mr. Fox's post "that's what happens when you turn on Physx" I thought it was already on? Is there somewhere you are talking about to enhance the settings.... Especially to get scores like that?

    Thanks

Yes. it allows the cpu to generate a much higher score. Giving the final score a nice big boost.

John, But where is it turned on? I see it in the Nvidia settings? Do i need to change it to a certain GPU or maybe CPU? Or is there a separate program to use? I am currently on 290.36 drivers.

Or am I missing something? Fox and I have the same system...

When you start vantage, click options then click disable ppu. And that will turn it off. You can also turn it off in nvidia control panel and it's off all the time.

Somehow I think John is going to win this! LOL.

OK these are the absolute best scores I can get out of my system with ambient cooling and without forcing fans ETC. Any higher on the GPU and I get lockups and I don't want to push my CPU above 95 degrees, even if its stable.

I dunno how the hell you're getting so high John. Stock cooling? Either way RESPECT!! And as for Terry. How he got 8500 in 3D mark with the same GPU overclock as me and a lower CPU clock speed is beyond me. Not questioning it, just would love to know how he did it!

    3D Mark 2006 - 25345

    3D Mark 2011 - 7457

    3D Mark Vantage - 25652

    wPrime 1.55 - 32M @ 10.609 - 1024M @ 242.605

It's the NVIDIA Advantage. If ya got, use it... why wouldn't ya? I'd like to have John's score below without PhysX turned.

I'm sure there are children having nightmares because of your avatar.

That's my bro! Totally awesome, John. :)

I just ran 7500 3DMark11 and 26069 Vantage (without PhysX) and will post the screening here in a bit.

Another big day at work again. TGIF! Have a good day folks.

Hey! Look who's here! Nice to see you posting, bro. With scores like you have in your sig, there is no reason to be too jealous... still awesome and hard to touch.

    Thank you, Cygoris.

That's not really a noob question in my mind. A noob would not know to even think or ask about that. It's just a request for information as I see it.

The scores you see can be obtained without over-volting. I am running the NVIDIA reference design voltage, and don't see any reason for over-volting the cards. That would be a risk I am not willing to take.

My scores are impressive but I also know how much effort went into them, some one with decent knowledge should be able to reproduce or beat them pretty quickly.

One thing I do need intel on though, have the drivers over the last 4 months made any considerable impact on bench scores for the ATI cards?

OK, here is my wPrime and SuperPI benchmarks. John - you're doing a great job of keeping track of the numbers.

Question: What is the CPUZ benchmark. I must be missing something, but I don't see anything to click on to run a benchmark with CPUZ.

What I saw here... maybe I am just misinterpreting what's in the list.

Also, not sure which test would/should be the standard for PIFAST.

That is correct. If you click the link in my sig. That is a validated cpuz score.

Im thinking of adding the benchtown.com benchmark. It does cpu, plus the rest of the system in total. And it doesn't take all day to run. And can be run in sections to find out where the bencher needs work at.

But we can always put it to a vote. :)

I like the benchtown.com benchmark. It's pretty slick.

So, thanks for clearing up the CPUZ question. When we do that one do you want to see the 3 CPUZ, 1 GPUZ and open validation web page in the screen shot or just a link to the information in the post (like your signature)?

Thanks, I actually have the same logic when it comes over volt, although my main reason to not touch it is that I know nothing about it.
I don't know if this is the right place to ask but even though our CPU aren't suited for OC, I saw some performance options in the BIOS, I think it has to do with the bus, but maybe I'm wrong.
Can we adjust these values and to what extend?

I was also wondering how you managed these frequencies, my cards start to suffer at 740.
