    Hello all

I've spent hours on this, and failed. SO hopefully some of you geniuses can help. I understand I should be able to overclock my Intel Core i7 4940MX to 4GhZ plus

Any idea what the setting should be in both BIOS and XTU.

I saw the below thread, and ap[plied these settings. I think its a bit too out of date though because there my CPU started running slower.

If therse some updates info it would be greatly received.

    Cheers

Its not out of date, you just applied his settings unto yours and didnt get the same result.

That guide is but a starting point, then you have to tweak your own CPU to its own liking, as they are not all built the same in terms of what you can get with them.

As for the 4940mx, its believed to be a worse off CPU compared to the 4930mx, just wasnt a good refresh.

Just use throttle stop, I have 4940MX and I run it at 4.4GHz. I can get 4.5 but cannot keep it cool. I generally run it at 4.3GHz for gaming. Here is a link to settings you can use, (I think they were uploaded by Mr. Fox)
