    My m18xr2 having problem that window gadget stopped working when awake from sleep mode.

    Uninstall all versions of C++ and then reinstall them and that might help. This was probably broken by a Windows Update. (Before uninstalling, download new runtime modules from Microsoft.

    So you already downloaded new C++ modules from microsoft.com, uninstalled them and reinstalled them? That did not work? At the time I downloaded mine from Microsoft, the latest version was 10.0.40219.

    If that did not fix it, then it may be a .NET corruption issue. Check this web page and download the cleanup tool. Download the latest versions of .NET Framework vfrom Microsoft and have it handy. Remove all versions of .NET Framework using this tool, then reinstall them.

    If all else fails, you might be looking at a clean Windows reinstall. Removing and reinstalling C++ and .NET about 75-80% of the time, but I did have a few times that it did not. That's one reason why I do not allow automatic Windows Updates. It was for issues more serious than gadgets not working.

    When the gadgets have stop working, try opening AlienFX Editor and see if you get any error messages.

    I was remove .net and reinstall 4.0 and 4.5 but it happening still. I can't endure window reinstall anymore.
    Orz. I'm just let it leave with gadget problem :)

    When did this start happening? You might be able to do a system restore to rollback to a point where the issue was not there.
