    Hello,

has anybody any information about the new RX470/480s. Is there any technical issue that could prevent using them in a m18x R2 like the 1070/1080 (MXM format, eDP screen, power requirement, etc.)? Can they be used in XFire?

Almost only DELLIENWARE and Apple use AMD. Aka BGA graphics  They shares the same philosophy as internal hardware and thinnest possible laptop design!! Only BGA hardware can help them with this thin lightweight hysterical desire.

They don't have LVDS support but they are MXM3.0b still lot of a power @150W TDP for the 1060 class GFX which is 15-20% more than 980M waiting for the 50% more perf improvement release, the SLI machines of Alienware had only LVDS, You need to hardmod the MoBo if you can source the blueprints and mobo data. 980M is the last for the Alienware M18x and 18's sorry.
