I was wondering, this is a random question and I can't find a thread on this forum about (either it's there and I can't word it right in the search bar or I'm just really dumb that everyone already knows what this is)

When you start up the computer, you hear a one time "robotic sound" (which is as close as I can describe it) which I assume is normal.

What makes that sound, and is it normal to hear it once in a while after the computer has completely booted up?

Um, I think you're hearing the optical drive. It's fine.

Wow, i'm stupid. The many times I've inserted discs into it and ejected it and I didn't even notice it. -_- This has been a stressful week. Sorry to bother you.

It's normal, we have had that reported a couple of times already. It usually sounds again when an application that might require the ODD starts.
