I just knew this is going to happen sooner or later, but when I put in a third hdd in the m18x r2, the triple hdd connector got lose. I tried putting the cable back into the motherboard, but the black front of the input got of.
Should I just try to tape it back together, so that I can use the HDD's or does someone have maybe better experience , solving the matter?

I guess this tutorial basically shows that tape is fine, might be helpful for other people with a similair problem:

Hopefully it works out fine and I just definitely need to use extra tape to keep the cable in place, it is just too lose. -
I have that connectors in spares, it's easy to replace with some soldering involved
If you don't feel comfortable replacing it, you can take it to a professional or just use tape yeah.
I'll have to warn you though that if the connector cable shifts inside the connector this can end up being a more expensive repair... a cable of mine gor burnt and would not recognize one hdd after i didn't secure it well. the cables were very scarce and in the 30-50€ range at the time i was purchasing one. -
thank you. the tape works so far, but your option is alot better compared to replacing the whole motherbaord in case it gets worse ( like you mentioned).
Send me a Pm with price including shipping and I will properly take it.
