It's been more than a year since the throttling issues were uncovered on the AW18. I recently got one in like new state and after reading the thread on the Nvidia forum and seeing no real solution I would like to know if the situation was ever resolved and if not, what should I do to try and get as much performance as the machine is capable of producing without risking a meltdown or malfunction.

I've been using Prema vbios for a while and I get rock solid performance for my 980ms. He has a new vbios version 1.1.1. He has a website just google it.

I got 880m's in SLI. That coupled with the fan table issues I read about is what really concerned me. Will your suggestion work out for me?

Simply go to his website and see if he has vbios version for your 880ms
