    i was trying to install intel XTU and i got an error and cant get it to install

    1) Which version

    2) clear your temp files using CCleaner then reboot

    3) Try again

    I use v5.2.0.14

    Windows 8.X constantly has issues with fouled up file and folder permissions. If you are not set up as an Administrator and disabled UAC, do both of those things as well. Also, just for good measure, boot Windows with DSE disabled, then try again. If the error persists at that point, take ownership of all files and folders (including system files and folders) on all of your drives. That's what I do and I seldom have issues with Windows 8.X messed up security crap.

    nothing worked but im not gonna take the ownership of all files and folders ill just wait to win 10 or till the next time i do a recovery thanks anyway
