They sure have a lot...They must be one of the companies script buying from the Dell outlet with a coupon.

I would NOT buy from eBay and instead just buy from Dell directly with a 30% off outlet coupon. Pay what they paid and save a good 1000 dollars...

Same advise even though I have never had any issues buying computers from eBay. It's better to buy it straight from the Outlet and get a warranty. :)

You can get a good deal, but research is required e.g. ask seller for pics of the laptop, and if your lucky you can get a good machine with no cosmetic damage :).

I bought a M11xR3 off ebay a few years ago and it does have a scuff but on the underside near the fan, and the AW 18 I bought last month has a scratch on the lid but I only noticed it due to running fingers across lid, oh and both laptops came with a dell warranty (m11xR3 3yr/AW 18 1yr) I saved a good few £ :).

of course if your geographical location allows try always purchase direct from DELL outlet, use discount coupons, save money and rest assured. You may be lucky and get great deal from some other ebay seller and be absolutely fine with your purchase so its all about luck most of the times. Not saying that you cant get a bad egg from direct dell outlet either ;) beware and good luck

I purchased A Alienware 18 with one year warranty from E-bay America and had it sent to New Zealand. This has been a horror story. I would recommend buying direct from Dell refurbished or not. If the company who refurbishes the laptop does not buy the parts the device is refurbished with from Dell directly all warranty is void. You will get no help from Dell what so ever in fact you will get the opposite. I have had to use detective skills to reach the general manager of Dell New Zealand (without him I would be screwed) and after a month of pain and stress they have agreed to cover warranty, however not if the system is as above. Basically I thought I was saving money, now My laptop is worthless. BE VERY CAREFUL this has been the hardest battle of my entire life with warranty issues and I have had many.

Ask for the service tag from the seller and check the warranty on Dell's support site. Ask the seller if the machine is still stock and unmodified.

Honestly - with the current environment at eBay the buyer has all the power. If you get a laptop that isn't as described and you fill out a eBay/Paypal case then you are going to get your way.
