SO today i started up my laptop to play some games, and i noticed aida was showing my CPU clock jumping all over the place from 1.798mhz, lol just now it was running at 18mhz. lol I ran the dell dianostics test before starting windows and all hardware passed. i had overlocking in my bios off, and was using XTU to run my cpu at 41 x4. normally with no problems. right now it says its running at 1798Mhz @ all cores are around 50 degrees. Anyone ever heard of this happening before? maybe should i uninstall xtu? and reinstall it again? CPu-z is showing the same readings as aida64.

The CPU in normal operation on the desktop will lower the frequency to save power as full performance is not required during normal day to day computer tasks.
