    im considering doing this but have never done something like this...would i be able to use liquid ultra between the lid and the core? the cpu i have is 2960xm...is this doable?

    There is no such thing as delidding a notebook CPU because there is no heatspreader to remove in the first place. You would simply spread CLU on the die and put the heatsink back on like with any other thermal paste.
