I have been playing world of warcraft for the last few days and it seems that after a couple of minutes, i can hear the fans inside the machine go full throttle. Even upon exiting.. the fans are still at it. Is this normal? If not, should i be using a utility to control the fans and what should be the settings?
I'm completely unsure as this is my first real desktop replacement. Thanks all.

mine does the same thing while gaming but the fans should reduce their speed when exiting the game and no you don't a utility to control the fans

Check your temperatures first, maybe they are high and the fans NEED to spin! Don't do something as stupid as preventing them from spinning the cards/CPU can be damaged!
Maybe your heatsinks are clogged with dust(and you have to open it up and clean it) and/or need to repaste the GPUs and CPU. -
Mine rev up like mad, but slow down when exiting the game, normal, but real annoying.

It's a gaming system, will a silent pink macbook play your games? Don't think so

You are correct, but they could learn something from ASUS my G73 while not as big a beast it was silent at full bore..
How did you know about my pink Mac LOL -

Wild guess lol
The G73 is a single GPU system and i invite you to compare temps between same cards on both systems
fans sound like they're at full speed..
