so i finally worked up the motivation of swapping my thermal paste out, and apparently i did a bad job not getting the liquid metal paste on anything because it looks like i fried the card AND the MXM slot....the laptop is still running fine on integrated gpu but i tried 2 diff cards and neither works in that slot...well the 780m kinda works but everything is purple...and i think i might have damaged it too by putting in that computer

    this happen to anyone else?

Liquid metal pastes are extremely dangerous and generally not recommended for typical users, it's possible it damaged slot if some dropped on it.
