as some of you may know i'm still not giving up on that processor yet and i have been trying to overclock it for the past 3 months . i have read every post and every thread that been written about that processor and i know there is a few threads about it but all of them are already closed so i had to start a new one .
i was able so stabilize it only for 4.3Ghz with 1.19V for both the core and the cache. with 25+MV for the core. i am using liquid metal now and have no issues with the heat.
my setup for the above is as using 1.2V for both core and cache in bios but i use the 1.19V on throttle stop + setting the current limit for 160 instead of 95 also on throttle stop since i cant change it in bios !! and both VR faults and VR efficiency mode is disabled in bios . and im not using intel extreme utility at all (attached images for the above setup )
    - but i tried every possible volt for 44 and 45 without a success!!
Mr. Fox you mentioned in one of your replays that 1.245V is good for 45 multi, but in another thread you said u was only able to stabilize it with 1.4V and 125+MV . so any suggestions? i tried both in bios and both settings never was able to start the windows screen (it freeze and then blue screen ) or only freeze and i have to restart.
for 4.4Ghz on all cores i was able to start windows and do some stress test for a few minutes but once i open the google chrome i get blue screen ..
for 4.4 Ghz , here is my settings :-
on bios core volt 1.230 +25Mv offset . and cache volt 1.20 +25Mv offset
but windows crash with blue screen once in awhile .
for 4.5ghz i cant start the windows even

any one knows what is the suitable volt for 44 or 45 multi? that i can start tuning from ?

You are likely to blow the vrms before sustaining those speeds, AW18's are not known for their robust motherboards.

    This.

4ghz-~4.2 all core is pretty straight forward.
Then things get real dicey real quick.

It comes down to decent MB and VRMs (make sure they're cooled as much as possible) along with a decently binned 4930/4940 chip that helps take the load off the VRMs.

You say you have no problems with heat. What Stress tests have you run? With liquid metal, what temps are you getting @ 4.3 w/ CB15? You managed to get 4.4ghz to run some stress tests. Which ones? What were your temps then?

You also have to realize it may be the limitations of your CPU as each are different and a lot of the >4.3 runs you see were outlier benches with sometimes the tops off and/or
AC units for added cooling or a bench run that managed to pass and be captured/validated but nowhere a daily driver frequency.

thanks for your reply i usually work on my laptop in a cool environment 21C temp. and my fans are at the top speed all the time . i rarely do benchmarks, but when i wanna check the stability of the system i use throttlestop bench for 1024M it takes about 5 minutes to finish or abit more which the temps stays as 91 to 92 at max core... but generally i rarely use my laptop for gaming (which means i either have the processor at full load or the GPU at full load but never all together ) but i use 3ds max and vray for rendering ( which abit heavier then cena bench) and i use adobe premier for video editing which is a bit heavy too.. so that is the most important to me for the processor to be stable under.
any idea about the start up voltage for 44 multi? any lead would be appreciated .. i really think that i can get there . thanks again

It would actually be best if it was possible or someone knew the method for replacing the VRMs and somehow reinforcing the traces so it could sustain those higher sustained 24/7 loads much like you see when with GPU HWBot record attempts

Notebooks normally don't have settings for Loadline Calibration. So this won't be fully correct. But see the estimited voltage settings for average 4.4/4.5GHz. Reduce Cashe speed and start play with core multi and voltage. You can finish with Cashe and voltage settings afterwards.

You will not benefit much from high Cashe due notebooks slower ram speed. Concentrate on the highest possible core clock speed. High Cashe will maybe come as a bonus if you are lucky. Depends on the lottery

that is great thank you so much , i started to try with it since yesterday and hopefully i will reach somewhere. but changing the VCCIN voltage helped alot with the stability since i was keeping it as default all the time . thank you for that too :) will keep updating here once i reach a stable sittings

quick question, do u think 1.9V on the VCCIN ( FIVR) is acceptable voltage for the voltage regulator in the alienware 18 mother board ? ( no responsibility here i'm just asking for opinion)
