    m18x R2 - max ram?

    can you go as high as 48gb? or is 32gb the max on these? trying to figure out before buying modules

    I think nobody had tried that yet going beyond 32 GB

    I think the max is 32gb as the memory controller on Sandybridge through Haswell only supports 32gb.

    Only 5th gen desktops were able to use specific 16GB DIMMs, otherwise your max is going to be 32GB total.

    Ditto on the 32GB max. that's what i am running in my M18X R2... I never max it out, and it fully supports the 32GB.

    64GB was tried using 16GB sticks. Did not work.

    32GB is the max for these.
