Yeah.. its pretty much not going to happen unless you buy a "converter" which "upscales" the image to hdmi.

This one says that it will provide audio as well, but I have not tried it yet
Amazon.com: ViewHD Wii to HDMI 720P / 1080P HD Output Upscaling Converter: Electronics

There are others that are basically the same, but most people complain about the audio quality and that you really don't get a higher resolution picture.
Most people say the composite cables give you a better picture, but you can't plug composite into your m18x.... so options are limited.

This is really the only option at this time and since I have not actually tried it "yet" I can not give you more information.

Good luck and let me know if you give it a shot first

after you figure out the video, you're going to have figure out where/how you plan to mount the wii motion sensor bar.

    tooooo true.
I was thinking of just using the component input on my U2410 (but then I have no audio) and mounting the sensor bar on top of that.... but I still haven't gotten around to it.

I guess I could get some extender component cables for the audio and plug those straight into my wireless headphone unit.....hmm decisions decisions

Easy .. set it below the TV in your sensor config.
and put the sensor bar on the keyboard surface near the alienhead power button.

p.s : i prefer dolphin .. my wii is covering in dust most of the time.

With a converter like that, you are most likely going to have some latency issues.
