    m18x hard lock when disconnecting ac adapter

    this just started recently any ideas? computer just hard locks have to restart...worked just fine on battery before

    one of my failed gpu's is still inside the computer but disabled...could this be causing it?

    Yes, it could. I recall this being some kind of issue with GPU clocks doing funny things when switching between the battery and wall adapter that was causing hard locks for me awhile back.

    I was running ATI cards at the time though.

    Do you have unlocked vBIOS? This might be causing this... With the 880M, this always happens..

    I've never had this happen with 780M. It is probably something to do with the messed up GPU that has not been removed.
