    msi gtx 680m on m18x r2 or m17x r2 is plug and play?

    there is one guy selling me an gtx 680m for 190 bucks, im assuming is an msi card because it was pulled out from a msi laptop . just want to make sure the card will function properly either on a m17x r2 or a m18x r2 .if not what are the steps needed to make it work on these laptops. thanks in advance for your info :)

    I've seen some reports it works and some it doesn't in AW systems. One thing to keep in mind the MSI 680 more than likely does not have the sli connector if you wanted to eventually sli it in the 18.

    thanks for your response and yes i noticed there is no sli connector on the card , he already sold it , and not having that made me think twice . although it would have been a good single card solution card for the m17x r2

    Indeed! I don't think you'd actually need the X-Fire with that card haha.
