I was customizing a profile for battery life.. setting max processor state to 10 percent, ect and I noticed a system cooling under processor power management.. the settings are active or passive... Which is better for cooling/ performance , and which for batterylife? Thanks!

Passive is better for battery life. if you want better cooling, go for active, however, this would drain your battery as the fans would kick in when it reaches a certain temperature. given that we're using high performance systems, I would trade battery life for performance and better cooling

Got it, thanks for the reply. I use the laptop alot away from an outlet when not gaming for work... School . And I need two profiles... One for gaming I power and one for battery life. Good think this rig gets 6 hours of life with maximum power saving settings.

That's awesome! I'm glad you get that much out of it. You could let the community see the settings just in case anybody wants/needs it.

hm. how do I post the settings here? in short, I make sure the proc maximum clocks are very low, but high enough that I dont feel much lag, alienFX off, screen brightness to lowest or 1 bar and try to keep the main system fans off. I've managed around 6 with those
