    hi guys,

fistly, sorry if my english is bad, but i'm french and it's not very comfortable to speak for me !

    ok...i got a new R2 with i7, 4go ddr3 ,GT335...250 GO 7200rpm, etc.......
    and i've some problems stability.

    i'll try to explain.

in factory configuration with factory drivers, or updated drivers (260.99 for nvidia, and the latest intel) the problem is the same...
if i OC ,even a little ! i got problems...
(often i got in windows evenement journal error about nvDXsync.exe crashed...may be it's a reason...)

in game or 3D M2006, my screen freeze, but i can althought press ctrl+alt+del, my m11x answers ! it's not a total freeze... and if i reboot, it's bugged ! my computer stay freeze on windows shut down...
i must say if i re bench, my fps are divise by 2 ! as if my graphic card was in security...

i don't understand, because if i re install all my driver (nvidia, intel and dx) ,and i directly bench, i've no issues !!! and some times after, if i bench, my m11x freeze ! it's not regular...

all my temp are correct, and without OC my m11x is ok ! in game too.
but a little OC make it instable... even 10 Mhz on GPU ! lol

i can bench at 8789 Pts in 3DM2006 in default settings on 3DM06, at 166MHZ CPu clock + TS ON and 550/1320/900 for nvidia and it well pass ! serveral times, i bench and bench and re benh, no problem.

but, for example if i try some times after (two days after lol), it doesn't work...

i add that all my temp are correct
i try to restore in factory configuration my M11X...nothing....
my system is clear, i use tools as Ccleaner...defragmented etc...

    it make me crazy....!!!!
somebody have the same problem here ?

    need help guys !
    thanks a lot.

i have the same issue when GPU is overclocked.
i found that i can barely achieve stableness of system even at 500/1200/850 (no matter using EVGA precision or Msi Afterburner).
and if CPU gets OCed too, i goes worse.
but i do not have this issue with only CPU OCed.
wondering why? is this related to the insufficience of AC power?(just a blind guess)

I know you will not like this answer but its the way it is :(

Dell/AW has stated numerous times both here as well as on there own community forum that CPU overclocking is not supported. Meaning, while overclocking is enabled in the BIOS, your mileage may vary. This is true with any system - be it Dell or any other brand. CPUs and GPUs are all different with respect to what they can handle. What works for one person is not going to work for everyone. Some can handle a 166 OC while others cant even get a stable OC via BIOS alone. Its just the way it is. Even going back to the Dell XPS M1710, when Dell unlocked the CPU in that system's BIOS, OC was not supported. Again, your mileage will vary.

Xela, I suggest you play with different settings in both the BIOS as well as TS. Get with Webb in his general info thread concerning TS.

For GPU OCing, its trial and error. Consult with other 11xR2 owners for starting tips in the 11xR2 benchmark thread.

    Hope this helps.

    hi !
it's the same for me. if i just OC the CPU, i don't have any problem too.
i can select 166mhz mode without Bsod ! in multimedia, office, internet usings, i don't have any issue, my temp are correct !
but if i touch GPU settings, it's dead...
i think the same things as you, Gameoverhaha...perhaps there is not enought power distributed...i don't konw....?

    hi batboy !
i hope your are wrong lol !
i know that all computer OCing capacity are differents ;)
so, i tried with several settings :( even a small OC ! and some times my computer freezes...as i set a strong OC...
in addition, i don't know, understand, why my m11x accept somes times to end bench with big OC and make me a score of 8789 in native resolution for 3DM06 ! if it's necessary i got a screenshot for proof !
and somes times, a small OC make me a beautiful freeze :( !

if my M11X would be OC limited, because of the composants, my unstability would be regular...?!

i'll go to see the topics about you speak ;)
    but, before , i had a XPS1710, after a m15X-R1, after XPS 1730 ,after a M15X-R2 and now my M11X, and it's the first time that i've suchs problem...it's strange... :(
before if i get OCing problem, it was easy, my OC was too high ! so, this time, even a small OC kill my system stabilty...

while this time, i'll go to read more and more informations for my problem...

thanks for helping guys ;) sorry if my english is horrible ! correct me if i didn't understand something... :)
