    Hey everyone,

I was wondering since the chip-set of the R2 has limitations, is it at any point possible to upgrade any of its components to the new ones from the R3? USB 3.0, CPU, GPU... etc

    Thx!

Well the m11x r3 already has usb 3.0 so your good there, the cpu and gpu i believe cannot be upgradeable.

can anyone else shed some light?

The only way you'd probably be able to upgrade would be to get an R3 motherboard and put it in your r2 since the laptop chassis doesn't appear to have changed. Although if the lcd changed the connector may be different, not sure. At that point you might as well just buy an R3 unless you find a refurb motherboard.

There's this but we haven't confirmed if it works. The CPU and GPU can't receive upgrades but they can overclock to around R3 performance.
