so i just ordered mine its the i5 core duo version and i got 2gb of ram but now im worried about it not handling games, the main game i want to play is mass effect 2.

Im worried that 2gb wont be able to handle the gaming aspect. So i wanted to look into a 4gb upgrade. I was wondering if anybody could point me in the direction of a good priced 4gb ram for my M11x

and were do you insert the new ram card, if there is a tutorial or someone could tell me that would be great

    Thanks

Just to be 100% sure at 1:40 in the video thats when he removes the ram memory right

if so that is suprisingly easy

Oh and when i get the new one do i just pop it in and thats it or do i take more precautions

Oh, didn't notice the second question.
No, you don't really need to take any real precautions. Just be careful and make sure you get rid of your static electricity. (AKA, ground yourself)

Just wondering, but if you just ordered it, wouldn't it be faster and easier to cancel and re-order with 4 gigs? Not to mention cheaper.

Plus, isn't the FastTrack config the i5 with 4 gigs? So I mean you could cancel your order and get the fast track and have it this week and not need to spend money to upgrade.

    Just a thought.

I was going to say the exact same thing. You're probably wasting money on upgrading to 2x2gb sticks. =\

Just get the fast track machine, it ships within 48hours for sure. lol

    Jus sayin

Come to think of it, that would actually be a good idea.
I third that notion to get the fast track machine!

Btw, excuse my technicality tk112190, but it actually ships in 24 hours.

Upgrade to 4gb, 2gb is definately not enough. I ordered mine with 2 gb, 2 days after i got it I picked up a mushkin 4gb kit for 80 bucks. Huge performance difference working with steam and general use. Cost me the same as what it would have ordering direct from dell so I didn't really lose anything in the deal.

When I said just I didn't mean right then, its already shipped

Besides I don't mind shelling out $100 for better preformance

if you're ordering the two 2x2GB RAM off that site, why are you buying two? why don't you just buy one and save some money since your system already comes with 1 2GB RAM module? Unless I'm wrong, and it comes with 2 x 1GB modules, if so, carry on sir.
