    Hi everyone;

    Just got my second M11x delivered a few days ago and I noticed a slight yellow tint on the left side of the screen, it doesn't really bother me but I just wanted to know if it is common or it's just me that's unlucky :confused:

    I had a M11x R1 that died a few weeks ago with the exact same yellow tint at the bottom left of the screen... Kind of makes me think that it could be normal with LED screens????

    Anyone with the same yellow tint?

    I had an R1, I currently have an R3.

    I did NOT see this issue on either of my screens.

    Would pictures be able to capture it?

    Ok, thks for the quick reply, I will take a picture asap and post it.

    Don't know how to describe it really but it looks like there is less backlight on the lower left side than on the right side.

    Agreed. There's shouldn't be any difference in color cast like you're describing. The photo you've provided though isn't necessarily showing anything out of the ordinary and that's more than likely due to the limitations of your camera. Displays are a little tricksie to photograph properly.

    I think I'll just keep this one, I'll rather have a dark corner than a dead or stuck pixel or both...

    And I don't want a tech to mess with my computer, last time I had a screen replaced on my first M11x, the tech left the computer scratched with an uneven base and I had a dead pixel... It looked like a refurbished laptop after two months of use, pfffff :mad:

    Absolutely have it replaced. There's no way you should accept a defective display. You're also entitled to having it serviced properly, meaning that if it isn't repaired to your satisfaction then have them keep at it until it is.

    Incidentally I had my LCD assembly replaced last week. Had a stuck pixel. Tried the usual pixel exercisers for a few hours and that didn't work. What did work was pressing on it just enough to massage it out of its stuck state.

    That's a stuck pixel. Slowly depress the plastic display cover until you're making contact with the panel surface below. You'll see the the panel distort as you apply pressure. I did that twice and my stuck pixel disappeared permanently.
