When I have my graphics up (my 335m on) there are random times in which the screen will flicker black, then most windows (for example, Firefox) will turn all black except the top section.

I'm running on an M11x R1, and I'm curious as to whether or not I should call this into Alienware for a warranty replacement.
If there's already a thread on this, I'll gladly welcome a link to that.

    Thanks in advance :O

Maybe this will help as well. I don't have the 335M but this once happened on my new 540M when I first got it from the factory. It was caused by a bad video driver install and a clean install has fixed issue for good.

It's unlikely, but I repaired an R1 that had a flicker (happened with either GPU), and it ended up being because of a faulty ribbon cable that connects the motherboard to the power button panel. has your laptop ever been taken apart? Sometimes excessive installation/removal can cause cables to wear prematurely at the ends.
