    AC adapter for M11X overheating

    The AC adapter for my M11x is getting really hot. I've read many posts saying they can get so hot that you can't even hold it. My adapter gets pretty hot, still manage to handle it but I could smell the plastic, this isn't normal is it?

    No, this is not normal.

    I would call Alienware (not Dell) and ask them to replace it immediately. A power adapter that gets so hot that you smell burning plastic or burning electronics is a fire hazard.

    BTW, do you live in a country with 110V or 220V power outlets?
