    So I figured that 2 GB of memory isn't enough, I want to add more. I'm a pretty big computer newbie, but I was wondering if the m11x has 2 slots for memory or just 1 slot for memory. It's DDR3...

    Dual Channel (2 Slots) DDR3, you will have 2 1GB sticks in it right now I believe, so you can either add another 2GB which will take you to 3GB, or buy a 4GB kit (2 2GB sticks).

    It's been said many times on this forum, for this notebook, 4GB is almost always the perfect number. You're too bottle necked to REALLY enjoy 8GB, and any less will impact performance.
