I'm having a bit of trouble; I stupidly updated the Nvidia driver from the Nvidia site, then realized my mistake and reinstalled the Dell driver. Since the reinstall however, every time I boot it starts in "power saver" more instead of "performance". Of course since I have this set up with an external monitor on HDMI, that means I have to open the lid, switch to performance mode manually before I can use the external display. And then because of an audio glitch the HDMI sound doesn't work.

Before I messed with the driver, the machine always remembered which graphics state it was in and booted that way. Does anyone know where that kind of bootup preference might be set and how I can get it to at least always boot in performance mode?

I should note that this is an R1 with the 1GB 335m card, running W7 64-bit with 4GB RAM.

Never mind, fixed it with a complete uninstall of everything Nvidia and then reinstall the original driver.
