But I downloaded Hard Disk Sentinel 3.0 (which supports SSD also) to check my read/write speeds and to do some general optimization and its come up with 100% performance but only 9% health saying 'There are 3776 bad sectors on the disk surface' and is telling me to urgently back up my data!!! Should I be worried or is it an error with the software as it is an SSD?

I'd try another program first and see if it shows the same thing.

Cheers for the fast reply Corwinicre. Any program in particular that you would recommend? Also I've heard if you RAID 0 the device it makes it even quicker.... What is RAID 0 and how do I do it? Any help would be much appreciated.

the health is based on the "lifetime reads from host" , last line in the smart info, so has your sdd been heavily used.

Maybe an full secure erase of the sdd might help.

Did you see my link to the corsair forum, lots of help for your sdd problems there.

Raid 0 is a type of RAID, which is Redundant (sometimes Array of Independant (or inexpensive) Disks. It is using 2 or more Hard drives together as one, and there are different types of RAID. RAID 0 combines 2 or more HDD's or SSD's into one big drive, greatly increasing performance, but if one fails, you lose all of your data. Also, In order to use RAID, your laptop/desktop must have more than 1 HDD/SSD slot, which the m11x does not have.

There is most likely nothing wrong with your sdd, it`s just most software to read smart data is made for hdd`s and give the wrong reading`s with ssd`s
