    Hello,
I got a r2 about 3 weeks ago and love it. I have been using the Aliensense because it is cool and easier than typing in my password but i have been having problems with it these past few days. I get a message saying "Unable to process Biometric Data, please check camera." I can type in my password to log in and the camera work for other programs but it will auto log out after a minute being logged in, even if I disable aliensense. If I reboot it will work again but not when it comes out of sleep or hibernation. When I googled it most people have a problem with the cable for the camera but i can use it and it looks fine, so i don't think it's the cable. Does anyone have any suggestions besides disabling it.

Hi Kenrveo. I'm happy to try to help. If we can't resolve it here, please contact me at any of the Sensible Vision website email addresses.

To start, what does the video on the login screen look like? Can you see video at all? If yes, do you see the blue "Alien Head" outline around your face?

Second, what security mode do you have AlienSense set to?

It doesn't show a video it will say "Initializing..." where the video usually it. Also the light next to the webcam saying it's on doesn't turn on. I have the face recognition set to face log in.

It sounds like FastAccess can't connect to the webcam for some reason. This could be because it's not working (which you indicated is not likely to be the case), because something else is using it (Under Windows, only one software at a time can use a webcam) or because AlienSense itself is set to use some other camera or imaging device (such as a scanner or still camera) instead of the web camera.

Be sure that all other video programs are off. Also go to the Advanced section of AlienSense and be sure that the webcam itself is selected in the camera selection tool. Note that if it's not for some reason and then you correct this that the new camera selection won't take effect until you log off and back on.

I went in to the advanced setting and the camera setting was set to the first available. I changed it to the integrated camera and it seams to work. I will see how it work through out the day. thanks
