It was just presented at CES. Pretty interesting... the first gaming netbook?

Switchable between discrete and integrated graphics -- integrated will get you 6.5 hours of battery life. Hot switch to "gaming mode" and you get "over two hours of intense graphics and gaming." 3Dmark scores in the 6-7000 range, Crysis at 60fps, Modern Warfare 2 in HD at over 30fps.

Wow, it seems like it has a very large frame around the 11.6 LCD screen.
Maybe to accommodate a full-size keyboard? -
looks interesting and wonder what is the price of it?
-
Yeah that looks pretty sweet.. Im sure it will be priced between $799.00-$1000.00 ..
Comes out in spring though so we have sometime ..
Nice find Witcher..

Those performance numbers were probably taken with everything on LOW@1024x768
... It says Modern Warfare was in HD but im not sure what HD(Highly Doubtful ?) they are talking about lol..
-
Giant bezel.

Me too! And I dont care if it's pink or not because there is LED and my gf can change it to whatever color she wants to included pink
-
i'll pick one up for myself, though not a pink one. They look sweet.
-
Alienware right on their twitter page states that this is NOT a netbook. They didn't call it a netbook in their presentation. Quit calling it a netbook!

Looks like the Dell CES does have quite a few things to keep track of. Since it's CULV processors, I'm guessing the M11X is still running with C2D?
@ Quad, 1024x768 is still 720p HD. lol -

I give up Joker, you won this one. +1 rep from me.
Though honestly, this is the most useless machine that could be offered by Dellienware. Wish you luck playing MW2, Crysis or any other game on 11" screen. And if you plug it to a nice HDTV you'll only be able to browse the web with that card + watch some movies... -

1080p is the minimum requirements to be hd well that is my guess
-
I was making fun of advertising terms. -
.. Or atleast i am lol...

hey guys look the back of the m11x looks like skull back

Yeah, HD is really just an advertising monicker. 720p is supposed to be anything 1280x720 or over, so 1366x768 is legit HD as far as the marketing guys are concerned
Even some of those Plasma TVs are only 1024x768 (yep, wide PAR) and yet they call them HD or 'HD ready' or some crap. -
WOw nice find again Witcher ... That actually looks pretty slick..

6-7k 3dmark06 sounds promising, depending on resolution of course.
Nice find, Witcher. The M11x looks fairly thick as well, not surprising I guess. -
Another thread. That's OK. *subscribed* Hopefully this is the official one and the rest are left to die.
Anyway. I'm getting one(AND skullcap-ish FTW)
I can already see my sig changing. 1000HA sorry buddy, I hope you fetch me at least $75. -
Honestly it'd be a great ultraportable notebook if they went the extra half-inch wider and put in a 13.1" or 13.3" screen...but I don't appreciate that they wanted to try and market it as smaller than it really is just by using an 11.6" screen.

Oh yeah and the whole Spring release probably means the end of spring IE june and E3... To much free advertising going on at that time and thats why i have been saying all along we wouldnt see a M17x refresh till then ... CES is one thing but E3 is something altogether different

Very nice...I had an m3200. It's nice to see a small Alienware again. Any chance they'll put out AW Media Centers and servers as well?
-
Awesome finds.
I use a netbook. Trust me it's not very fun. It's very slow and painful. From experience, I will take this net/note-book any day if it performs like a regular notebook in a smaller size. This seems just perfect. I hope they don't only offer it in black. -
Looks like they could have fit a 12in screen in there. BTW is this a core2duo cpu, or one of the new CULV i7 cpus?

Hummm MacBook .... M11x ..... ????
Quad ...... -
That's it.
I'm GETTING this if I do well enough in my GCSEs. Perfect ally to my M17...use my M17 at home and that at school
If it can play MW2 in Full HD on High at above 30fps like they say, then I'm sold on it.
And if it really is under $1000...that'd be incredible if it performs that well.
