My Cpu is overclocked to only 150hz which is very stable and my gpu to 500 and 1200.

When gaming for about 2 hours the gpu temperature reaches above 90C, highest I have seen is 90. What are the safe temperatures for this netbooks and would it be safe to overclock more?

off the top of my head you are pretty much on the threshold of thermal cut out / throttling, 90 is a little high

Purchase a tube of IC24 Diamond Thermal Compound for 20$ off ebay and apply it to your CPU/GPU. It'll reduce temps by up to -10c.

Other options are cleaning your fans with compressed air and purchasing a notebook cooler.

Your laptop should not be at 90c. Don't overclock more until you follow the above instructions :)

Sounds to me like it needs a cleaning more than anything.

90 is way too hot! I have my M11x CPU overclocked to 162MHz and I barely go over 70 degrees with a cooler pad. I do keep my GPU at stock speeds though. For the games that I play, I did not feel the need to OC the GPU.

90c is the turn off point for my M11XR1. It actually burned my leg. Clean that fan out, that reduced temps from 81C to 60C on my R1 when I was playing Skyrim. Use compressed air, all though not recommended as you don't really get the gunk out, it just pushes it.

Oddly, my R2 i5 can hit a stable 178bclk, but my thermal limit is 88C. At that junction, it gets bsod/freeze/restart. 90C is pretty damn high, and i'm sure the fan is annoying at that temp. Compressed air through the fan intake/exhaust is the easiest and fastest way to get a bit of a temperature drop. Also, consider propping up the back (I use a dead 2.5" hdd to tilt up the back side). That's good for another 4-5C.

I also have an R2 OC to 166. When gaming, it normally goes up to around 85C
