So I have never replaced an internal hdd before...ever. My Alienware m11x R3 has 320 GB and it is not enough for all my stuff. Is it possible to install a 1 TB or 750 GB HDD in it? If so, what are the tech specs? Where should I buy it from? Links shall be highly appreciated.

true if you want storage, however if you want speed, you should get an SSD. once you have experienced that, there is no going back. to bad the big SDD's still cost a lot. i use a x25 m 160Gb ssd and steam, when i play a game i install it locally and after i finish it i just dispose of the local content. in this way i have the advantage of speedy games.

I f you want storage on the other hand combined with speed you could buy a hybrid type of disk or just resort to a M17 x r1 or r2 or an M18x. with such a baby you can use an ssd for the boot and OS and another 2,5 inch disk (a big one) as second disk...
