So after 4 months of use on my alienware m11xR1 it has suddenly crashed and burned (figuratively). The AC adapter of my 11x doesn't work anymore, the green LED on the adapter either turns on or doesn't but in both cases they don't charge the notebook, also the W key on the keyboard makes a cracking noise and is very lose on the keyboard I called dell/alienware and apparently they're going to send a tech to replace both AC and entire keyboard within my notebook.

Just yesterday i turned on my notebook to see if there were any other problems around and i found this : YouTube - Alienware m11x fan scratching fan noise My notebook seems to make a scratching/crackling/motor noise whenever i turn on my notebook and the moment the fan turns on(which is always in this weather) and I also live in Canada so you can imagine the tech support i get here (they have absolutely no idea what their doing) and so i came here, reading all the threads about fan noises replacements etc. and i read many people through the process of replacing Whatever damaged part ruined/or damaged some other part of the notebook became damaged because the tech didn't know what they were doing So i came here to NBR asking What should i exactly do? its been 4 days since i called dell for replacement and apparently tomorrow should be the last day they should take but should i also mention the fan and get it replaced? or should i ask for a brand new notebook? it really surprises me that i payed $1300 on a notebook so it could last 4 months.(note i only got whatever warranty that came with the notebook) Also im somewhat worried because i replaced the hard drive in here with an intel ssd 80gb and cant find the old one and their going to pull some bull excuse like "sir because you've replaced the hard drive, you've voided it".

I suggest you try and get a replacement.

On another note...argh...it seems more and more issues are coming up with this laptop by the second.
