I was interested in buying the M11x for my web design classes that I am about to take.... but was wondering if the monitor is good for my upcoming class for HTML coding. Is it uncomfortable to read HTML code on this monitor because of size of the 11.6 inch screen? Also would this be good for other web design classes such as Dreamweaver, fireworks, flash, photoshop, ect....
    Appreciate any advice... Thanks again

    Michael

One code window is placed perfectly on the screen. To work with two windows at the same time I plug my 23 "1080p monitor. If Photoshop does not display a large number of panels - everything will be fine. 1366x768 - a great resolution, and in R3 it even more.

It's good laptop for coding :)

For long code sessions I would want the external. For class use I think its fine. If using during class, the only issue might be reflections from lights or sunlight from window - show up early!

I am actually using mine for and html class and other programming like python and java. So far I have no issues with the screen size. Even with an external I never really use it for anything but movies. It is a fine computer and it should do just fine with whatever you need it to do

From personal experience with programming and doing HTML for my CompSci major, the screen is good for just one window maximized but if you're like me and abuse the side-by-side window view for 2 applications, having them both on screen makes the text a bit small. It's fine for just quick sessions but if you're going to be coding for a while, I'd highly suggest getting an external of some sort.

My remedy? Use my old Dell 700m and use Mouse Without Borders :p
