I have an R1 with 128gb SSD and recently got google fiber's 1gb/s internet service only to be disappointed in finding out that the m11x R1 only has a "Fast Ethernet" port at 100mb/s. Is there any way to upgrade that port to a gigabit ethernet? I've read about using the usb 2.0 port to get around 480 but that's not ideal. The rates I'm getting off of wireless are around 160 download and upload which is great but for big downloads I'd love to get higher.

Unfortunately no, that port is embedded in the mobo.
