After waiting two weeks for my m11x r1 to return from dell, I find out that the motherboard is missing over 10 screws and that my hinge is out of place with a extreamly flexable keyboard. Along with my hinges making a tough gringing noice.

anyone else ever had a terrible repair by dell?

So far I've done all my own repairs, that does sound bad though. I'm guessing you have contacted them to complain?

I would kick and scream at Dell and demand a new laptop, maybe you could even get an upgrade! :)

I have phoned them up about this and complained, now im just sending it back for another 2 weeks, the botton cover is half coming off as they have stripped a number of the screws.
    Not happy at all.

Dell is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. I had a similar issue where their tech put the bottom cover on wrong and scratched the crap out of my case.

Dell's overseas support is the worst I've dealt with. Once I got into contact with their escalation department it's smooth sailing.

90% of the time yes, your phone calls go to giant support centers in India. The people there usually are pretty helpfull. But you got to be nice to them and they will in turn be nice to you.

This is exactly why I have not sent my m11x into Dell for what appears to be a very minor cosmetic issue...terrified it will come back 10X worse then I sent it in! Good luck!

I think some of the Alienware support is out of Costa Rica.
