    Greetings,

I bought a 24" LCD monitor, to connect to my M11X R1. It works flawlessly, but whenever I plug in the cable, via HDMI, the image quality on the webcam drops very sharply, regardless of program (e.g. Skype, MSN, etc).

When I say it drops sharply, I mean the image of the other person turns mostly dark, and the only thing you can make out is the outline of their figure. My own picture turns very dark, and all you can see is part of my face. The webcam settings do not effect the picture, and as soon as you unplug the monitor, the video appears normal.

...any ideas whatsoever? As I said, it doesn't matter which screen you have the video session on. It doesn't matter which monitor is set as primary. It's configured to extend the display, which is what I want. The monitor has no webcam, so I'm using the webcam on the LCD of the M11X. The laptop is using the discrete GPU, as required to use HDMI.

Clean install of 7 Home Premium x64. NVIDIA drivers 197.72

    Thanks much!!
