I don't see how the M11X could have any effect on this, isn't it just a USB device and Itunes? It is not like some specialized hardware is needed, if it works on ANY installation of Win 7 X64 it should work on the m11X, unless I am missing something huge.

Its because its an alienware, and Macs hate alienware.

I've had some problems with my cousins Alienware m11x and my 3g iPhone as well.

I can't see why it wouldn't work. USB is a standard, iTunes is the same and there is nothing special about the install of Windows 7 really.

It has nothing to do with "Mac hates Alienware..." or vice-versa..

It's actually by design, because both are closed, proprietary devices/systems.

Depending on your viewpoint - one is MUCH more closed and controlling than another.. :)

One man's problem is another man's design... you can thank Steve/AT&T for that "problem".. :)

To do what you're attempting is "possible" - but only via hacking the phone OS (which discussion isn't allowed here).

Other phones can easily do what you're looking for without issue. Kinda makes you sad doesn't it?

It was a joke. I though something that outrageous would be obvious.

I was able to sync my iPhone 4 to the M11xR2 without any problems last week.. Seems to work fine. Is someone having a problem or is this just curiosity?
