Is there any other version of nvidia drivers, better than 257.XX? which i mean by that i do not have to mod the files, because I do not know anything about computers and I would probably blow up my computer. So if theres any legit versions of nvidia drivers that do not need to be modded, can anyone let me know?

My computer hasn't blown up :)

I think those are the most recent ones, but I can't see any reason not to use the more recent and modded ones you can find linked to on this forum. It's worth it for the performance improvements, and the 260.63 drivers are very good from my point of view. All the "mod" is doing is adding the m11x to the list of allowed computers.

In most cases with moded drivers either Kopicha or myself have included an already modified INF and instructions on how to install. (Usually just drop the modified INF in a folder and install.)

Whether using (unofficial) modified drivers is worth it or not is up to you. It is all a matter of personal preference and what you are comfortable with. The drivers provided by Dell/Alienware are good and unless you are having issues with specific games it may not be worth updating.

Ohhh, thank you both for the info, I just get worried because I do not know squat about computers other than the basics, and alot of times when i follow instructions for technical stuff, i usually mess up.

Would you know which of the latest driver gives the best increase of performance?
