Any reason to wait for refresh on the m11x if you are not going to do heavy gaming.

Ok looking to buy the m11x but not going to do heavy gaming. Mostly web surfing you tube that kind of stuff .I do my gaming on the m17x .since this system is way more than I need for this is there any reason to upgrade any of the parts or wait for the processor upgrade. 699 price is really tempting me .

Contrary to what most everyone on here will probably tell you... I think there is no reason to wait. Most people who are telling everyone to wait are people who want the newest and best... If your just gonna be doing that stuff... I say grab one...

Why, why, WHY?! Why do you have to make another thread when there are a bazillion others?

You've been on these forums for weeks now trying to convince yourself that the M11x is right for you in order to justify a purchase. You're well aware of the machines capabilities. I'd probably suggest to you something at a budget price point like a 13z as the M11x is a gaming machine first and foremost. Don't waste your money on something that isn't cheap and won't be utilized.

Friend i will suggest to wait because then the prices maybe down for the current specs and maybe you will have a chance to get something better when M11x gets refreshed.

    I hope this helps

the 13z with the nvidia graphics seems like a very good choice - and if the gpu can be overclocked like the m11x's can (i don't see any reason why it can't, but it may conflict with the warranty). not a bad price, too, thin machine, and if you do want to do some light gaming (with details toned down) then you will be able to.

if you really want to (and i always used to check first), i'd check out notebook check's comparison of graphics card, so you know almost exactly what your machine should be capable of.

    Notebookcheck: Comparison of Graphic Cards

EDIT: of course, you could disregard everything we've said and just go for it :)

It's a really cool and useful machine, a true road warrior. I'm a power user who loves all forms of multimedia and I have not been dissapointed with my machine one bit. It's a mobile iPhone and blackberry charger with superb battery life, compliments my SLR camera with quick and easy downloads from my memory card; rocks office 2010 with connectivity through mobile broadband, fits great on a plane ( just downed General Knoxx in Borderlands on my flight to London a few hours ago). Mines been to 6 countries so far.

    Love it.

Take that for what you will.

You're talking about Dell Inspiron 13z? I'd recommend a non-AW Dell laptop only to my worst enemy.

    Even then, I'd feel sorry.

I wills buy one but to spend money on what toy for me will have to be cheap .Do any m11x come up on the dell outlet if so for how much.I am thinking when refresh comes out outlet will be flooded with them. If I could pick up a referbished one for 500 would jump on it. I am already getting the evo from sprint this month so that will be my toy for a while. :p
