I just re-installed BBC2 on my R1 and I log into my account but it doesnt show any servers at all. Is anyone else having this problem?

wat you need to do is locate the updater - it will b located where the bc2.exe in C:/ program files/ ea/ .... and then run the updater
-
i purchased it and downloaded it from EA.com
-
the updater.exe will still b in program files
mine is located - C:/Program files (x86)/Electronic Arts/Battlefield bad company 2/BFBC2Updater.exe -
I found it. but when i go to run the updater it runs the game and still shows no servers.

you probably need to check ur filters - like wat gametype, maptype and where ur located. otherwise im not sure :|
-
Not sure what files to check. I am trying to play multiplayer and any map. I am in Michigan USA
-
Check you're service browser filters for North America. If you have later drivers than 265.xx you cannot play in PunkBuster servers so change filters to Non-Punk servers. Once all filters are selected. REFRESH THE LIST. If that doesn't work I would suggest deleting Documents/BC2 folder and that will revert everything to default settings and repeat the process...

Where are the service browser filters located?

Reinstall the game. Don't just click NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT FINISH. I believe you have to click the option where it says to register the copy of BF to play online for the EA version.
-
Ooops .. I uninstalled the game and now I have to re-download it from EA Download Manager -

Steam is a great site and product. It's so nice to have a one stop shop for our games and you can even create backups of your games on external drives.

Next game will Def. be purchased from steam! Now if I can just figure out this BBC2 issue.
-
I rather have the EA version. No need to run Steam in the background. I use Steam if I have no other choice for a game.

I would say Xfire store is generally cheaper than steam and without the need to run the game through the program.
wen i bought bfbc2 it was $20 USD on Xfire and $70 USD on steam. -
70 USD?
Is it that expensive?
-
it was wen i bought mine from xfire about 5 months ago
currently, on steam its at 40 compared to 20 on xfire... -
WOW.. I paid $20 on EA for BBC2
