I looked at the other thread ( the one with like 6-8 pages ) about the crackling and poping sounds but that thread is from games and that it happens frequently..

my problem is the occasional stutter, maybe couple times a day ( I play music alot ) but my volume is on an average of 24% on the windows audio control

Im just wondering is this anything to worry about or is this somewhat normal for a laptop

    r1 model btw

That should not be happening. Go to the Task manager and check your CPU usage when playing Music. If it is high, problem found. If it is under 30% then the problem is located in your machine. Still have warranty?

A maybe solution is to right click on the sound/speaker icon that shows the volume by little curved bars and click on playback devices and left click ONCE on the Speakers that are in the box, they should be called Speakers by default, then left click on properties and click on the Advanced tab. In the default format section, click on the droplist and select the one at the top.

That might solve your problem but I'm not sure, works for some games and music. There will be a VERY slight quality dip but you cannot tell the difference and it will give you at least 1 extra FPS in some games and it might solve your crackling. I also had it but now it doesn't crack and pop.

I had this problem a while back on my R1 when it was newish. The popping sound occurred when I was playing sound and the CPU was running at 100% (through a combination of video, webcam etc). The problem sorted itself over time but I think it was to do with optimising my machine to make it less demanding on the CPU.
