Whenever I play SC2 if I play more that 2-3 games at some point it will lockup with any GPU overclock. the sound continues to play and does not loop, I can alt+ctrl+delete and exit it and windows seems normal. However if I try to start up anything that requires the dedicated graphics card it doesnt load and if I restart it hangs at Shutting Down... and I have to hold the power button to restart the comp and things return back to normal. I am stable playing every other game at 550/1360/890 and have downclocked to 530/1330/840 but still get lockups. I am playing it at stock speeds now without any lockups but I havnt tested it extensively. I am playing it at 1080p with the 258.96 drivers.

I was just wondering if other people are having issues playing SC2 with any GPU OC. If so are you noticing your "stable" OC settings to be unstable just for SC2? Perhaps its the beta drivers?

Do you even notice any difference? What is the FPS with and without the OC?

Honestly, your GPU OC is going to stress it a lot more, it will generate more heat, and it obviously is not healthy since you are getting crashes. I fried a GPU a few years back from OCing all the time, and it started just like that, occasional freezes on some games, sound and game still running but graphics gone. Eventually it just died all together. After that I decided no way it was worth the 1 FPS boost.

I get a huge performance increase in other games L4D2, Borderlands, Crysis, but i guess you are right not so much in SC2 (maybe its CPU bottlenecked) its a good thing EVGA has hotkey for profile... for now Page Down is stock frequencies and when I play any other game Page Up is GPU OC settings for increased performance!

I'm having the same problem with the ff14 beta. I thought it was just the game messing up :(.

Unfortunately in the betas cast, it seems it has to be overclocked to an extent to be playable right now so I might have to mess around with it some more.
