I was kinda disappointed to find out that the m11x can't do similar light effects as the bigger models. Is there a software that can do this for the m11x?

you can't but is that really a make-or-break selling point? it's not really functional it's just there for looks.

Like they said no, but reasoning is there is only 1 LED controller compared to the 17x which has 4 in the keyboard. It would be eays to write a program to get a rainbow lit keyboard, its the actual component that is missing.

Not necessarily a make or break, but the fact that the price is very close the the M15x and it is missing a few features makes me think I should rather just get the M15.

You can use AlienFX-Lite to cycle through the colors.

Don't know then, man. When I used Lite, I had some odd stuff happen with my lights, but it stopped when I turned it off.
