First off, thanks to all of the contributors in this forum. I just got a m11x R2 in July and this forum has been a huge help with reformatting, installing new drivers (especially the nVidia) and many other odds and ends.

    My Rig:
i5 core processor, 4 GB of ram, a 160 gb HD, and factory installed Bluetooth. I do have all of the current m11x drivers (according to Dell) including BIOS A03.

    Problem:
I am trying to use a Bluetooth headset to listen to audio but I have notice a considerable delay (about 0.25-0.5 sec). This is most noticeable when playing Counter Strike Source, but it can also be detected when playing video (YouTube, MP4 on my hard drive, even 320x240 res WMVs). I have tried 3 seperate Bluetooth headsets (Jabra Halo, the Plantronics 903 BackBeat, and even my mono Motorola H375 as a sanity check). All of these work with my cell phone with no noticeable delay (difficult to determine considering network delays and such). I also use a "Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000", but I get the audio delay with or without this mouse connected. Connecting the mouse and the audio actually makes the mouse seem more sluggish.

I have read online some people have a delay with Bluetooth Audio on a PC, others don't (I want to be one of the "others"). A lot of people point to the Bluetooth stack in Windows as the source of the delay. So here are my questions:

1a. Has anyone else tried Bluetooth audio on the m11x?
1b. If so, can you experience a delay?

2a. Does the "integrated" Bluetooth solution connect through a USB interface on the motherboard?
2b. If so, is it a USB 1.x device (limited bandwidth could cause delay, the Bluetooth mouse lag also points to limited bandwidth being the problem)?

    3. Are there any alternative Bluetooth driver/stacks compatible with the m11x?

    4. Opinion: Would it be worth it to buy a higher-speed (USB 2.0) Bluetooth dongle to connect on the outside and attempt to alleviate any bandwidth bottlenecks?

    Thanks for the help!

It is connected via an internal USB interface. Some have noted this unit (Dell Wireless 365) is less effective than other Bluetooth solutions (low signal?)
